Why are we called Seat at the Table?
Seat at the Table is the product of over 15 years
of working with marginalized youth as teen workers, group home staff and foster parents.
The name Seat at the Table symbolizes two core tenets:
Hospitality
Sharing life and building community. There is always room for one more at the table!
Agency
Empowering those who have been rejected to be seated in places of healing and influence.
